1998 Reliant Robin SLX hatchvan
This is a very rare vehicle, a original hatchback Robin van, most you see on ebay are standard Robin"s which have had the rear windows painted over but this is a genuine factory van and is correctly registered as a commercial vehicle aswell. In 1998 Reliant decided to build a smaller van based on their hatchback Robin but was only built in small numbers as the following year a all new model Robin was launched, this is 1 of around only 50 built and is probably in single figures of survivors now.
The Robin is also one of the only van models to come in SLX specification, this featured alloy wheels, chrome clock, cig lighter, radio with speakers and sporty white dial instrumentation. Reliant also didn"t sell offer yellow as a colour choice in 1998, this van was special order factory built in Inca yellow with the vin number showing it was special order in customers choice of custom colour.
As you can see the photos the vehicle is in very good condition, the bright bodywork really gathers attention where ever you go, the tailpipe gives the car a nice burble from the exhaust and it goes & drives really well. Its recently been serviced with new oil/oil filter, plugs, air filter and has the upgrade of electronic ignition along with a new front tyre. Mileage is 83k, its always been highly maintained and is mechanically 100%.
It flew through its MOT with no advisories, so mot"d until June 2016.
The car really is as good as it looks in the photos, you will struggle to find another hatchvan yet alone one as good as this.
