Selling my lovely little Daihatsu HIJET efi.
I bought this in August hoping to get round to converting it into a little mini VW day van......which it would be ideal for given the all round tinted windows and twin sunroofs......but family circumstances have changed and I need more seats.
It had been standing for a while before I purchased it and had no MOT.When I finally got round to putting it on the road in October however it went straight through the MOT.It starts and drives well and seems to be economical although I have not taken it very far, just short local journeys.
Obviously this is T reg van and has general wear and tear but it is definitely in very good condition for its age, the body is very good, no bad rust at all and at 45000 the mileage is very low.
An ideal project for someone with the time.
Bad points:-The fuel gauge can be a little temperamental and sometimes sticks. Seems to be improving each time it is filled up.There is a leak from the top rubber seal on one of the fuel injectors which seeps fuel, I think this will be a relatively easy fix for someone with the know how but it may not be wise to try and drive it too far until this is done.
